Fe Teresa de Jesus-McCarthy
Studied and got her degree in medicine at the University of the Philippines, College of Medicine in Manila, Philippines in 1966. She is an American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology Diplomate since 1980 and a member of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology, the American Fertility Association, the American Medical Association and the Medical Society State of New York.
Her first professional experience was as a rotating intern at the Philippine General Hospital in Manila, Philippines in 1965-1966. She then became an OB/GYN Resident there until 1968, when she left to be a Resident in General Practice at the Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield, OH. In 1969 she became OB/GYN Resident for Mt. Sinai Hospital in Cleveland, OH until 1972.
During 1972 and 1973 she was an Emergency Room Physician for St. Anthony’s Hospital in Warwick, NY, Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY and St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY.
In 1973 she opened her Private OB/GYN Practice in Latham, and was and continues to be privileged at the Bellevue Woman’s Hospital in Niskayuna, NY and Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY.
